Rhinoplasty/anes: Dictating your airway safety is a BAD idea! It is up to the surgeon to decide what is the safest route to control your airway in a rhinoplasty. Mist are done under light general anesthesia and local. If you have a simple type rhinoplasty maybe local with light twilight anesthesia could be a consideration, but I am doubtful..

One way for 0% risk: The only way to have zero risk is to have nothing done. Period. You automatically assume risk by undergoing a procedure. In general, rhinoplasty is a very safe procedure. The good news is that depending on what you need or want accomplished, you may not require general anesthesia. This can be easily addressed with your facial plastic surgeon during a preoperative visit.

General better: General anesthesia when done properly by a board certified anesthesiologist is usually very safe. During the procedure your airway is protected and you are given continuous oxygen. This is often the best way to keep the patient comfortably asleep.
