Sounds normal: Any time body tissue is cut, there is some degree of pain & swelling during recovery. If you have no fever or other symptoms, it sounds like a normal course. Call your surgeon if you have questions or concerns. Visualize healing & think about how happy you'll be with the results.

Mild is Normal: Most patients are feeling good a few day after rhinoplasty. Surgery is a form of injury, so mild discomfort is normal. Severe pain, or pain that is increasing rather than improving or associated findings like fever, foul odor or bleeding are not expected at 4 days. If you feel you are having more pain than you should be, call you plastic surgeon for advice. They have more information.

Normal: Throbbing and achy pain are normal. Severe or stabbing pain are not. Yours sounds like normal discomfort after the surgery. Try keeping your head elevated over your heart while sleeping to help!

Generally, yes: Generally, tenderness and pressure in the first week after rhinoplasty is normal. However, if you are concerned, contact your surgeon immediately.
