Natural History: The benefit of eating organic food is that the thousands of chemicals they (naturally) contain have been tested by nature over the millions of years of evolution, and found compatible with the ecosystem in which they developed. This may not be true of man-made chemicals, but at least the man-made chemicals have been tested for safety, whereas thousands of natural chemicals remain untested.
