Don't fear carbs.: Well, 70 grams would equal 280 calories. A typical diet would have more, around 60% of calories. That being said, you have to make healthful carbohydrate choices - foods with fiber and complex carbohydrates. Fruits and vegetables, and whole grain breads for example. You need carbs for energy, and your brain can only use carbs as fuel, not proteins nor fats, so carbs are needed.
