It sounds like: you have had some evaluation for this in that you know you have a spur. Perhaps x-rays were taken. Have you seen a specialty Foot Surgeon/Orthopedic Foot Specialist? Options should have been discussed; in addition to surgery perhaps a cortisone injection might be offered. Time may also cure. You can let the pain and your tolerance of it be your guide.
