month ago had surgery to remove navicular fx fragment and cyst curettage. the area in foot hurts very bad whenever i take a deep breath. why?

Unrelated: The act of breathing has no anatomic relationship to the foot so this is quite unusual. I feel you should notify the foot SURGEON if you are having undue pain after the surgery as he/she will want to examine the operated area to reassure you or treat any possible complications.
