A member asked:

I had a severe sprain and it's been almost two months and my ankle is still sore to the touch and pops every now and then. is it not getting better?

Needs checked out.: I assume that you have never had it checked out. Pain after two months with popping is bothersome. It could be from a torn ligament or loose broken bone amongst other causes. You need to be seen by a primary or orthopedic doctor for evaluation and possibly will have xrays. MRI of the ankle might be needed to come to a proper diagnosis, Please don't neglect it.

Look again.: Look at it this way. It has only been two months since you had a severe ankle sprain. There is no apparent swelling. It is sore only to the touch and occasionally there is a popping. Actually, you need to give the ankle a little more time. I just wonder how your ankle was diagnosed and what the post sprain protocols were in the first place.
