A member asked:

Hi, ultrasound shows a cystic-looking lesion in the anterior surface of the uterus. mr needed to tell the nature of the lesion. could it be malignant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not if: If both ovaries were seen and appear normal, the "cystic lesion in the anterior surface of the uterus" is not likely to be malignant and the MRI may or may not tell the nature of the lesion. Ultimately, your personal gyn and health history, your family history, the level of suspicion and concern of your gyn oncologist and of yourself will determine if laparoscopic or laparotomy exploration needed
