Paint away Monet.: If that is want you want to do, there is no reason not to. You might occasionally visually inspect the application site to make sure you are not irritating the skin with the paint. For your information, sometimes after a total nail removal, the new nail may show some distortion. This distortion can be temporary or permanent. There is no way of telling until the begins to appear.
