If your concerned: Enough to ask.....You need to go back....Black discoloration could possibly be discoloration fromo silver nitrate, scab, blood within skin or possibly melanoma so should have it looked at.

Go back: It is always good idea to go back. If the dr. Used a chemical to "destroy" the root of your nail, then it may be okay. However, getting it checked out should put both your mind and the dr's at ease.
