A member asked:

Pain in my gums above my right upper canine. feels similar to a bruise. 2 days of pain. no swelling, bleeding, bumps, or anything visible of the sorts, but i'm limited to how far i can see into my own mouth. should i be worried, or see my dentist?

More info needed...: Does this tooth have restorations or has it been traumatized? When was your last dental exam? Do you currently have any sinus issues? Do you grind your teeth? Your pain is coming from within, and a radiograph may be in order. A visit to your dentist would not be a bad idea.

Pain: The rule of thumb is that any pain, bleeding and/or swelling deserves attention. Would be appropriate to have your Dentist take a look.
