Start slowly: Start slowing with some easily achievable goals like walking for 15 minutes a day. Work on shifting your diet also slowly to a healthier regimen. If you drink sodas, try getting rid of those first. Write down your goals each week and check them off at the end of the week. Set new goals each week. Exercising with a friend is often helpful to keep you on track.

In 400 characters...: cardiovascular exercise most days of the week, small more frequent meals, 50 grams of fiber daily, plenty of water so urine is almost clear, six to nine hours of sleep nightly, don't smoke, don't drink too much alcohol, don't talk on your cellphone while driving, complex carbohydrates, lean protein sources, keep weight healthy, don't do drugs, obey the speed limit. Did I miss anything?
