Braces will help!: Not being able to examine you will not permit me to give you a specific answer, but braces (orthodontics) will help! To repair the gum recession around your canines, you may need gingival grafts, but again will need to see after orthodontics!

Depends: If canines are out of position or if they are in trauma, orthodontic treatment may help. Consult with both Orthodontic Specialist and with Periodontist (gum specialist). The determine cause of the recession and the appropriate treatment plan.

Examination: What you are saying is confusing, as your front teeth cannot hit unless your lower teeth hit them. I suspect you are describing a deep bite where your lower front teeth go up behind your top front teeth.Tissue recession can be from clenching/grinding/overload over time.Best to see the specialist-the Orthodontist-for evaluation, options and expectations. Always best to correct these soon. Good Luck

Possible: Your description of your bite a malocclusion which needs orthodontic care. There is a number of ways to treat malocclusion. I would get an orthodontic examination and consultation to determine your condition and a treatment plan to correct. You will then be able to decide when you can start fix your mouth.
