Further evaluation: Needed. Right-sided abdominal pain is fairly common after gallbladder removal and can be due to retained stones, microlithiasis or biliary dyskinesia. Pain after surgery??: It is hard to believe that any pain that you are experiencing 9 years after an operation is in any way related except if a foreign body (maybe a surgical clip) was left inside you. You should be thoroughly examined by a good GI surgeon and you may need some imaging studies and even an exploratory laparotomy.
