Diagnosis & genetics: provided your diagnosis is accurate you must have at least a pharmacogenetic test to select your matching medication is a must. Then if an Ssri fails then Clinical experience suggests that SSRI non-responders may benefit from augmentation with benzodiazepines or gabapentin or from switching to monoamine oxidase inhibitors, reversible inhibitors of monoamine oxidase or gabapentin
