Diagnosed w/lupus 10 years ago &have been on plaqunenil. For past 6 years, my SED rate, c3, c4, and crp have been normal.my double stranded dna has been always negative. I have Ana 1:640 and other qualifying symptoms. Do I no longer have lupus ?
Does c3 & c4 have to be low to indicate lupus. My c3 was the only one low. I also had positive ana & I had more blood work done, but not back yet.
What would diagnosis be with test results 1:160 ANA- Positive-Speckl C4 Complement- 13 mg Anti-DS-DNA - 3 IU SM antib- 7 Index RNP Anti-5 SS-A-3
ANA and Anti SSA(Ro) are positive. Anti ds dna/ Anti ccp/ c4 /ESR are little more than normal range.My rheumatologist said although you have no symptoms but take Hydroxychloroquine for2 years to prevent autoimmun disease.Should I take medicine?
