Seek more info: Perhaps a 3rd opinion is in order. Health care professionals come at problem resolution based on their training. They only see what they know. Often there is overlap. Sometimes differing opinions can open new paths of investigation. You never told us what your problem is, but perhaps the opinion of a Dental or Medical Specialist, rather than GP's, is indicated.

More info needed...: Not exactly what your problem is, but you'll need to see someone with the experience of a dentist and a physician of the head and neck. Make an appointment with an oral surgeon to be evaluated.

Start with dentist: Too vague to ascertain. See your dentist, have the dentist evaluate your recent full mouth series of x-rays for any restorative or periodontal needs. If the symptoms involve TMJ, you may need to be referred. If the symptoms are indicative of sinus involvement, an ENT consult may be in order.
