Dizziness could be: from one of may possible causes. It is important to determine if the medications are the cause with a good history., Otherwise, generalized infections can cause general symptoms like dizziness. This would be important to diagnose as well. Would recommend re-checking with your primary doc if this continues or worsens.

Antibiotics : Gum infection ny itself does not to my knowledge cause dizziness, but the Meds, such Antibiotics, they could. You should ask your doctor to change your medication. No matter what the medication will not cure your gum infection, it has to be treated by a dentist.

Infection: Antibiotics will control spread of infection for only as long as you take the meds, but will not cure. The infected tooth material has to be physically removed either by root canal treatment or extraction, procedures that your Physician is not trained to perform. Contact either your Dentist or Physician to modify meds to reduce vertigo.

Gum Swelling : You do need to see a dentist ASAP. Gum infection with swelling is usually related to tooth’s infection that can project to the gums and related space structures and can be life threatening. Antibiotics only control the spread of infection and is temporary measure. But tooth needs to be treated or removed. Dentist will determine the cause (fracture, failing root canal, periodontal abscess).
