ER: At least you can go to an ER and you can get antibiotics and pain meds. Most states have state programs to help limited income dental problems.

Emergency, yes: But it's not something that a physician can fix. You must be seen by a Dentist. The best a physician can do is prescribe antibiotics to prevent spread of infection until you can have appropriate dental treatment done, but their effect only lasts until you stop taking the pills. You must see a Dentist, Dental Clinic (call Social Services), Dental School, for infection treatment.
