Surgery: If it was really an aneurysm, of the thumb you should had surgery, and complete resection of the aneurysm. The tissue should be undergo histological examination, although may also be traumatic.

If you do not live neat a large city, you may need to travel to see the specialist. A clear diagnosis should be clarified, and you should then be referred.
