About

Bio

I was born in Paris, France. My parents emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina where I did my high studies at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Facultad de Ciencias Medicas. I did my Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. I became very interested in cardiac transplantation, as the University was one of the three world programs. In 1967 Prof Cristiaan Barnard did the first successful human to human hear transplant. I became interested in laboratory and clinical research.
