Been on 0.5mg clonazepam intermittently on need basis, 6 months, not more than once weekly. have rebound anxiety now - safe taper advice much needed?

Rebound anxiety: slow tapering may be needed if there is rebound anxiety, there is no clear cut tapering schedule but taking 0.25mg (half of 0.5) over a week then 0.125 mg over another week and so on until it is discontinued may help , but monitor for sign of anxiety while taking the lower doses, if it not feasible it is advised to visit a doctor for help

Go back to the: prescribing MD and follow his/her directions. Improper withdrawal from benzos can be tough, and can even cause other sx's you don't want. Go slowly, and be safe.
