Hello, how can i safely taper off 0.5 mg klonopin? i used to take 1-2mg per day for 10 years. two months ago, i cut down to only 0.5mg but did it so fast that i did experience intense rebound anxiety/panic attacks. i remain on 0.5mg 1x a day. thanks

Best: Would be to use your prescriber for 2 reasons. The condition being treated with Clonazepam is not mentioned and it is important to keep it stable in the process as alternate drugs may be needed. Second is that alternate drugs might have been tried in the past and your response remains unknown. Ultimately, what triggered the need to taper your benzo remains unclear.
