I have been on clonazepam for many years. im on .5mg daily. i want to taper off of them. my psychiatrist suggested to go to .25mg at night for 2 weeks and then try to take it every other night. i feel thats too fast of a taper. any advice please?

Generally tapering by 25% of the dose the 1st week and then 10% of the dose per week until stopped. You may need some help from your pharmacy adjusting small doses…. So basically over 8 weeks…

Clonazepam can be very addicting. I would follow your Psych who knows you and all other meds you are on. Go to Drugs.com and read about it and do a drug interaction check with all other meds and supplements and OTC stuff. Good luck.
