Eat less fat: Hi. Triglycerides (fats) are VERY responsive to fat in the diet (and to carbohydrates, which the body can make into triglycerides). You might have a bad gene for high triglycerides, but you can't do anything about that. Eat healthy for life, and exercise regularly while you're at it. If you get overweight, that will make you insulin resistant, which could make your triglycerides MUCH higher!
