This needs an exam: This symptom suggests infection to me, an abscess or skin infection most likely. A skilled professional ... easily could be your family doctor .. needs to take a good look, and if necessary refer you to an ENT specialist if there is any question about what it is. I Hair You Brother!: Most likely an infected hair follicle.It's a tight space up there and can really hurt.But continual touching will just irritate it.Maybe a warm compress or three during the day and some anti-inflammatory(like Motrin)for the pain and inflammation.If your body can't kick the infection,then you might have to see your doctor and maybe get medication.In any event, if not better in 2 weeks see your doc
