As prescribed : For as long as you take it as prescribed you should be fine. If trying to experiment from some leftovers or a friend offered it to you, would suggest not using it. Ibuprofen 600 mg would be a better choice if tolerated.

If prescribed: If prescribed for this problem, yes. Better solution is to see dentist ASAP to treat whatever is causing the toothache.
