Asprin or ibuprofen: Any nsaid, non steroidal anti inflammatory will do. If the pain is no better in 3-5 days please return to your dentist for further evaluation. Rarely teeth can be injured during tooth movement.

Ibuprofen : This is not unusual right after an adjustment. I would try over the counter ibuprofen. You may have a tooth or teeth requiring attention if pain persists. I'd recommend you see your orthodontist if this is the case.

Non-narcotic: Always better to start w a non-narcotic, so do 2 325mg Aspirin or better, 1 200 mg Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) w big glass of liquid or full meal every 4 hours. Also rinse w 1tsp salt in 8 oz warm water 4x/day. If not easing off in 24-48 hours see both orthodontist to ck ortho rx and your general dentist to ck health of the tooth.
