Go see your dentist: Please do not take a pain medication without proper diagnosis done first. Pain medications only treat symptoms not the real problem. After the proper diagnosis is made, your dentist will give the instruction on how to take the prescribed drugs. Again seek professional help do not self medicate.

Call Your Doctor: Any anti-inflammatory medication can help. Aleve, motrin, advil & even a holistic alternative arnica. Ice to minimize swelling can also be helpful.Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a good over the counter pain med. Tramadol needs to be prescribed. Call the doctor who prescribed it for you. It sounds like you need to see a dentist to remove the cause of the pain. Pain medication only masks the symptoms.
