Hello the veins on the right side of my neck are really visible and it looks sickly. it happens when i smile, and my forehead vein sticks out. help!?

Unique to you!: The appearance of prominent veins around the face is largely related to your anatomy. They are more apparent in thin folks and frequent exercises. I suspect when you smile the contracting muscles alter the venous blood flow/pressure and the bulging is more apparent. This is pretty common. Most everyone has come to accept this is part of unique you...maybe you can, too. Surgery sometimes an option

Probably normal.: Forehead and facial veins usually enlarge when bending over or straining or smiling. They usually do not bulge when lying down, and, in fact, usually get smaller. The reasons for the change in size of the veins are many including changes in intrathoracic and intra abdominal pressures, levels of hydration, and positions of the body. Most likely what you experience is normal.
