I have a 4 month old and he has visible scalp veins on both sides of his head they arent really noticeable unless he is crying is this normal or a concern also he is mixed race (black and white) he is smiling and giggling like a normal baby also?

I consider this normal variation. As the kid gets older the skin will thicken and the veins become less prominent. We actually use these head veins as IV access points whin infants with tiny veins need IVs inserted for treatment.
