You must: have an orthodontist examine you to determine this.

See orthodontist: You need to consult with an orthodontist, if needed you will be referred to an oral surgeon who will work in conjunction with the orthodontist for optimal results. The severity of the open bite and finances will determine the path that you choose.

Depends on cause: Dental open bites can usually be closed with braces. Skeletal open bites may require braces and jaw surgery. Depends on cause and severity, s well as other components of y9ur malocclusion. PLEASE see a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist who will coordinate your treatment with your General Dentist and, if necessary, an Oral Surgeon. See a Pro.

See an Orthodontist: Many orthodontists offer an initial complimentary consultation. This allows you to find out what type of treatment for your individual situation is recommended and get all your questions answered. Take care.

Likely: really depends on your specific case, but I can not think many cases of an open biter we have not been able to address with braces (harder with invisalign and a lot less likely)

Probably: Mild open bites can be corrected very effectively by braces or Invisalign. Moderate open bites can be corrected with braces and TADs (temporary anchorage devices). Very severe open bites are best treated with surgery, especially if you want a significant facial change. Be cautious if all the correction comes from wearing elastics on the front teeth as that has a higher probability of reopening.
