Life is a balance: The number of calories eaten, digested, and absorbed into one's body is only HALF of the equation. Life is in a balance. Each day (or each week), life looks at the balance: what is the total calories absorbed minus the total calories used up? If the balance is more than zero, there is newly stored fuel (such as fat). If the balance is negative, then stored fuel was used (body weight decreases).
