You need 2038 calories/day to maintain your weight you need 1538 calories/day to lose 1 lb per week you need 1038 calories/day to lose 2 lb per week you need 2538 calories/day to gain 1 lb per week you need 3038 calories/day to gain 2 lb per week those number based 0n 160 pound weight.

It depends on BMR: It depends on your bmr, that is the number of calories you burn daily with your daily activities.And that is the number of calories you need to replace by eating and drinking you can find the formula on line how to calculate your BMR from the web bmr(basal metabolic rate)is the calories your body needs if there is no activity.If you add cals burnt by activity, it gives you the number calories/day.
