A member asked:

How fast does cin2 progress? dx via colpo, then found out i was pregnant. told to retest after delivery. pap next week, worried it turned to cancer.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: CIN or cervical intraepithelial neoplasia is a precancerous condition which may progress to cancer over a period of months, years or sometimes regress. Although pregnancy may accelerate the growth a little bit to a higher grade, It is extremely unlikely that it will progress to invasive cancer within 8-10 months. Follow up Pap smears will monitor that process.
