Borderline : Intense fear of abandonment, being manipulative, impulsivity, a tendency to think of people and things in all good or all bad terms, self mutilating behaviors, drug and alcohol abuse, sexual impulsivity, a profoundly disturb sense of self, and extreme emotional volatility.

PTSD/BPD: Hi David, there is significant overlap between PTSD and BPD, and having the two together does tend to cause more impairment than having either one alone. When both are present , there tends to be a higher number of lifetime traumatic events, less expression of positive emotions, and greater emotional dysregulation. The best place to start is with DBT and then targeted PTSD therapy. Take good care.
