PTSD/BPD: Hi David, there is significant overlap between PTSD and BPD, and having the two together does tend to cause more impairment than having either one alone. When both are present , there tends to be a higher number of lifetime traumatic events, less expression of positive emotions, and greater emotional dysregulation. The best place to start is with DBT and then targeted PTSD therapy. Take good care.
