Yes: Yes, over doing it with tooth whitening products can cause both gum recession and sensitivity in your teeth. Please stop using these products and see your dentist for an oral health evaluation.

Teeth whitening: You can use over the counter tooth paste or crest 3D whitening strips or pens. However, they are not so effective and/or stable. OTC bleach and whitening tooth paste could be used as a supplement only. A professional teeth whitening without laser, followed by home whitening system with custom trays for the long term effect. You will be very happy with the results.

Stop: Stop using the white strips. They can be irritating to your gums. If your teeth are not as white as you would like see a dentist. A dentist can give you sound , safe and effective options to get you teeth looking the way you want them to.
