Can drinking soda after using teeth whitening products cause gum recession? i used 4 boxes where 2 of the boxes say to use once per year.

No: Soda should not cause gum recession. But overzealous use of the whitening gel could. By not following the stated directions you my have caused irreversible damage. Please see a local dentist for evaluation... recession can also result from brushing too hard or grinding. Exposed roots may be sensitive or decay faster than enamel covered surfaces.

It is possible: Drinking acidic beverages, such as soda, regardless teeth whitening can cause enamel erosion and dentin exposure. Drink water.
