Hard to tell what: Without being able to see it, or to know if you have a sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes or other findings, it could be many things. Should let your local primary care physician take a look. It may be a yeast infection, in which case they may want to do further testing.

?tonsils: Many times the tonsils develop crypts that harbor bacteria and the byproduct of their growth and metabolism form whitish and yellowish deposits in the tonsils. Can be a source of bad breath and sore throats. A gargle with hydrogen peroxide, mouthwash and water can sometimes clear the debris. If this doesn't help then it's time to see an ent.
