A member asked:

How effective are steroids for treating bell's palsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Seem useful: Most doctors would use steroids, and many would add an antiviral drug as herpes simplex is considered to be cause of Bell's palsy. Likely the steroids shorten the course of the Bell's, but there is a rather high spontaneous recovery rate even if no treatment provided.
