With bell's palsy and steroids how long does it take for your eye to recover and be able to blink and close eye?

3 months: It can take a minimum of 3 months for eyelid function to recover after bell's palsy. In the interim it is important to keep the eye well lubricated with preservative free tears and ophthalmic ointments to ensure that the cornea does not dry out. You should be examined by your ophthalmologist frequently during this process.
