Talk your doctor : You may want to give the medication more time. Talk with your doctor about your symptoms. You may benefit from short-term use of an anti anxiety medication until the escitalopam starts to work. Some people take Klonopin for this. Augmentation with Buspar (buspirone) is also a consideration. Under some circumstances patients are prescribed an antipsychotic medication. Psychotherapy can also help. Best wishes!
