Infection: Ludwigs angina is a function of an infection of the confluence of 3 spaces on the mandible , lower jaw. If the infection was on the upper jaw, probably not, but there are other spaces that need to be managed too..Consult your surgeon if there are issues

Not likely: It is a rare condition but potentially serious and life-threatening disorder. The good news is prevention of this disease is possible with good oral hygiene.
