Oral cancer exam: This should be part of your routine dental exam given by every dentist. Sometimes the dentist does not tell you they are doing an oral cancer screening. Some dentists use additional screening devices like ViziLite or Velscope to aid in the oral cancer screening exam. Talk to your dentist about an oral cancer exam.

No need to ask: Cancer screen is a part of every oral examination. There should be no problem asking your dentist the next time you are in for a cleaning what s/he is looking for.
