Since : Since you are happy with and trust your current dentist, this is a reasonable fee to pay to insure you are going to continue receiving top quality treatment. The downside of not maintaining your health is spending much more later on.

$228 : $228 is a fair price for an examination and a cleaning. If you have been keeping your teeth in good shape and have had regular cleaning up to now you should be fine. I would allow additional funds for an x-ray survey, i like to take one every three years on my patients. If you have been neglecting your teeth and there are deep gum pockets that need special care your treatment recommendations may be more extensive.
