Jaw Surgery: You will get your best guidance from the Surgeon who did the surgery, as they will have the best handle on how well you are healing.

Ask the surgeon: Immaculate home care is a very important aspect of recovering from jaw surgery. Since we don't know exactly what type of surgery was accomplished, the safest bet is to get detailed advice from your original surgeon and follow it meticulously.

Follow: Follow your surgeon's advice. Usually however, once "fixation" is no longer required, generally at about 6 weeks. In the meantime brush 2x/day and WaterPik 1x/day to remove plaque.
