A lymph node in that location processes serum from the nearby throat/gums and skin structures. I would not assume it has anything to do with a procedure over 10 days previous to the noted change.

An enlarged lymph node requires in person physical exam and history by a physician. In general primary care physicians can do this to make sure there’s nothing serious most commonly due to infection or inflammation but rarely it can be due to cancer.
