It should be fine: Hi Carl, I think it should be fine. Some surgeons prefer to wait a few days for the swelling to go down before they operate on certain facial fractures.

Swelling: surgeon may be waiting for swelling to go down. If you have question about timing ask the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for the reason for this time schedule in your particular case.
