Not unusual: That is not uncommon. For healing to show up in X-ray, it has to be pretty far along. Most ulnar shaft fractures heal by about 8 weeks, but we typically don't see much on X-ray at 4 weeks. The main reason we get an X-ray at that point is just to make sure it is still in good alignment.
