Hx of approx 30 fractures l arm/wrist, lately a lot of pain n fluid in wrist where radius/ulna meet metacarpals. is n ultrasound needed any radiation?

What about MRI?: Ultrasound does not use radiation, and can be used to look for fluid or evaluate soft tissues, but it is not good for looking at the bones themselves. Consider MRI to look for fluid, at the soft tissues, and inside the bones at the bone marrow.
